What Is NDIS SDA Housing?

The NDIS provides funding to eligible participants who require specialist disability accommodation (SDA). This type of housing offers tailored services as well as support that meets the needs of people with significantly greater requirements than those who do not have a disability.

NDIS SDA housing follows strict guidelines in order to ensure that all components, such as hoists, bathroom aids, and any other necessary equipment meet safety standards, accessibility requirements, and provide optimal support for the occupants.

Features such as wheelchair access ramps or automatic door openers are provided so that disabled individuals can live independently with dignity and freedom. A dual living dwelling is essentially 2 completely separate houses built under the one roof, with a single owner.

 

Dual Occupancy means dual properties on the same property. It means two properties on the same title. Granny Flat or secondary dwelling means that there are two properties on the same title. But they are created often by different pieces of legislation and they have different rules around them.
